Garden Design Service
We offer a bespoke garden design service to create lasting spaces where you can enjoy spending time and make the most of your outdoor space. We work closely with each client to understand their vision and deliver results that suit their style, budget and needs.
Whether it's a complete redesign or a fresh look at an unloved corner of the garden, a low maintenance space or adapting your existing garden to suit your changing needs, I can help you.
The Garden Journeys garden design service is costed on an individual basis, dependent on size and complexity of the garden. As a guide, an initial design of a small or medium sized garden would be in the region of £100. This would be a one-off fee for design only, but could be offset against the job price if you go ahead with Garden Journeys also putting the plan into action.
Function and Structure
Considering paths and walkways, connecting areas and mapping the space to improve flow, usability and accessibility, reflecting your personal style and the outdoor space's functional needs.
Style and Theme
Understanding the space and considering shape and size of your garden, including factors such as orientation and amount of sunlight. Creating a unified design to ensure a cohesive and harmonious space.
Focal Points
Creating focal points for more visual interest and giving a sense of movement and depth. These might be movable pots or containers, a garden sculpture, water feature or seating.
Plant Selection
Choosing plants wisely is essential not only for their aesthetic qualities but also to consider their environmental requirements and resilience, whilst providing seasonal interest and supporting biodiversity.
Evaluating & Adjusting
Observing and adapting in response to changes that will keep the garden dynamic and engaging environmental requirements and resilience, whilst providing seasonal interest and supporting biodiversity.
Budget Friendly
Whether you are looking to create a garden from scratch or redesign an area or element of the garden, there are many things to consider, that will affect the overall cost - from garden size and complexity of design, materials, lighting and seating and of course soil improvement and quality plants.
It is far easier to make those adjustments on paper than it is to make a change in the garden at a later stage.
