How I can help ...
Below are some gardening actions we can tackle ...
February
February is all about gentle preparation for the months ahead. Growth is still slow, but a little attention now can make spring much easier to manage
We can help with:
Cutting back and tidying borders - clearing away dead or damaged growth will leave the garden looking much more natural and cared for.
Pruning shrubs, roses and climbers - at the right time of year pruning can help healthy growth and better flowering next year.
Light lawn care - clearing debris, tidying edges and giving lawns a gentle refresh without causing damage.
Early weeding - easier to tackle now before weeds become established.
Soil care and mulching - to improve soil, retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Garden structure - look at what's working and plan simple changes.
Garden design - review how your garden works. Consider layout and flow and plan changes that will make your garden easier to manage and more enjoyable as the seasons change.
March
March is the time to prepare your garden for the growing season. This is the first month of spring, with more daylight and hopefully a little less rain that we have had over the last few months!
We can help with:
More pruning - last chance for roses - and weeding.
Future colour - think about summer colour and planting summer bulbs. Or look further ahead and plant snowdrops for next year's display. Some perennials could be lifted and divided.
Garden design - now the days are beginning to lengthen and you can start to imagine sitting in or looking out at your garden again, we can review how you use your outdoor space and consider making changes, whether large or small.
April
There is much to do in April to prepare the garden to thrive, whether you are looking for instant colour or taking a more patient approach.
We can help with:
Preparing and maintaining lawns
Sowing, planting and potting, cutting back, pruning and dividing, sowing veg and herbs ... and much more.
And, of course, reviewing how you use your garden spaces and planning and implementing changes or redesign to suit your needs.
